Swim Season

The swim season goes from March to mid-June.

There is a regional competition in April and the state competition is in June.

For area and state competitions, athletes can compete in up to three events and one relay.

Important: In order to compete at the state meet, the athlete must compete in the regional meet.

The following events are offered in distances of 25 meters, 50 meters, 100 meters, and 200 meters.  There are ultra-long events as well. There is a 15-meter freestyle available for flotation, assisted and unassisted.

  • Freestyle
  • Butterfly
  • Breast Stroke
  • Back Stroke

There is also a Medley Event that consists of one pool length of each stroke.

The RAVE typically has several teams participating in the 4 x 25 meter relay. Participation is limited based on a number of factors including experience, level of commitment, and number of athletes available at a given level.
