Requirements
Athletes with an up-to-date athlete application and medical form on file with Special Olympics Minnesota are eligible to participate. These forms need to be updated every three years.

Registration
The registration fee is $35 per athlete. Please mail the registration form and payment (check or cash) to The RAVE, P.O. Box 122, Rosemount, MN 55068-9906. Checks should be made payable to The RAVE. Click here for the registration form.
Practice location and time
All practices take place at Valley Middle School, 900 Gardenview Drive, Apple Valley, on Mondays and Thursdays at 6:15-7:30 pm.
Practice schedule
Practices will begin in April. The exact start date is dependent on the weather. All registered athletes will be notified of the season start date by email.
Competitions
Regional competition is Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Eastview High School in Apple Valley. State competition will be June 20-22, 2025, at the University of Minnesota.
Important 2025 Season Alert: The 2025 Summer Games on June 20-22, 2025, will have swimming, track & field, and basketball competing at the University of Minnesota at the same time. Athletes may practice and compete in regional competitions with more than one of these sports during the season, but can only compete in one sport at the Summer Games. Athletes participating in basketball must compete in basketball at state.
Events
Athletes can compete in three events and one relay. There are events for all levels and abilities including Wheel Chair and Motorized Wheelchair
The Rave typically has several teams participating in the 4 x 100 meter relay. Relay participation is limited based on a number of factors including experience, level of commitment, and number of athletes available at a given level.
